FAITHS, IGNORANCE, AND WISDOM

Faiths Are Like  Rivers Moving Towards the Ocean

Faiths are rivers. They originate from distinct epistemic peaks — different histories, languages, and symbolic imaginaries — yet converge toward one ontological Ocean, one Reality. Each carries the same vital essence: water.

Ignorance fetishises topography. It quarrels over banks, names, and channels. Wisdom is phenomenological: it bends to drink, seeking essence, not terrain.

The river does not own water, it only carries it. The claim "my river alone is pure" betrays that water was never tasted. Ignorance erects walls to monopolise flow; wisdom knows walls do not contain rivers, they only cause inundation.

A river that forgets the Ocean stagnates into a swamp of self-reference. A river that remembers remains humble, moving, and clear.

A peak confers origin, not value. Value lies in generativity — in rendering barren lands fertile, in quenching thirst.

The telos of every faith is not to clothe identity, but to unclothe it, to dissolve ego, anger, avarice and ignorance, until the self is denuded of the unreal and prepared for integration with the Ocean.
