AdarshAzad Arora , Grandson of Poet Tilok Chand Mehroom and son of Well Known Poet jagan Nath Azad adds:
“ Naresh Kumar Shaad sahib resided in the quarters on the side
of those little stair steps as one entered our haveli in Pul Bangash Delhi. He
remains unforgettable. I can never
forget the way he wept loudly like a small child and clung to our grandfather
Mahroom sahib's Arthi as it lay on the door ready for the final journey. Some
days later he came again. He clung to grandmother's feet and wept loudly
again.Shaad sahib kept on repeating the line as he wailed, "Mera ustaad mar
gaya, mera ustad mar gaya".Those were the days of old values ."
In
1958, he wrote a powerful poem "leader" which even Nehru liked when
shaad read it in a Mushiara at Delhi. This poem is true for today's failed
political leadership.A failed leadership that happens to be the core cause of
many problems that our country is facing at the moment ..I quote some lines
from this poem..
Zang
aalood sahi phir bhi awaami jazbe,
Rang
aur nasl ke paaband raheingay kab tak.
Aur
sadiyon ke siyaah bakht sitamkhurda bashar,
Nit

Qaayade

Laal
pariyon ke chhalkatey huve khwaabon mein na jhoom.
Waqt

Teri
jaanib bhi lapak saktein hain bhookhon ke hujoom...
He
wrote Rubai, qitaa and Gazal. A sample..
