Mora Gora Ang leyi lay,

Mohe shyaam rang deyi dhay

Chhup Jaoongi raat hi mein,

Mohe pee ka sang deyi dhay..

Badari hata ke chanda,

chupke se jhaanke chanda..

Tohe raahu laage bairi,

muskaaye jee jalaai ke..

Kuchh kho diya hai paiyi ke,

kuchh pa liya ganwaayi ke

Kahaan le chala hai manwa,

mohe baavari banayi ke..

Ek Laaj rokay paiyaan,

Ek moh kheenchay baiyaan

Jaoon kidhar na janoon,

hum ka koyee baatai dhay..

Take this fair complexion from me ,

Grant me a Dusky appearance .

Let me hide myself under Night’s
Darkness ,

But Grant me the company of My beloved.

Driving away clouds ,

The moon peeps un-noticeably from above,

“O My rival ! Stop your Jealous gaze
and Mocking;

You may also get eclipsed ”

Something within got lost , after I won
you ,

Some thing within was found after I
lost myself to you ,

O Heart ! Which way you carry me ?

Crazy have I turned in this Love now..

My Bashfulness halts any movement
forward

And My Longing keeps pushing me ahead .

Where should I go ?

Ignorant I am ;

Will somebody come to my rescue ?

Take this fair complexion from me ,

Grant me a Dusky appearance .

Let me hide myself under Night’s
Darkness ,

But Grant me the company of My beloved.
