WAHEEDA REHMAN'S  PASSIONATE EXPRESSION IN “ SHAGUN..

Great Photographers capture  even the   innermost feelings of  their object .  They can even capture  the most difficult  feeling of helplessness  in Love  .  Helplessness created by a Strange decision . The decision  to  forget someone  or erase his memory altogether without knowing how  to move ahead in life. While deciding ,  Neither  the poor   heart nor the mind  think about such issues  .  There is none to suggest as how such deprived people  should   carry on with  life ahead . A decision to withdraw from the newly  created  township  of hope  . 

This is  what poet sahir Ludhianavi meant  when he wrote the song  “ Bujha Diye hain  Khudd Apnay Haathon Mohabbaton Ke diye jalaa kar “  for  Waheeda ji's     film  “SHAGUN “.

“ Tujhe Bhulaa Deingay apnay dil se

Ye Faislaa To Kiyaa hai Lekin.

Na Dil Ko Maaloom Hai Na Hum Ko

Jiyeingay Kaisay Tujhe Bhulaa ke .”

I am informed that he above  photo frame is by cinematographer Anwar Siraj. Including Shagun, Anwar Siraj has done about 30 films as Cinematographer . He has a versatility to capture emotions on celluloid. I am informed that he is still active in his profession and lives somewhere in Bandra West Mumbai.
