 KACHORI , JALEBI AND SABZI  :  AN IDEAL MORNING BREAKFAST IN BRIJ BHOOMI AND 'OMA PAHALWAN'S' SHOP IN OLD MATHURA CITY..

.
KACHORI , JALEBI AND LASSI is a preferred Breakfast of people in Brij. It is quite popular in core Brij Bhoomi that comprises of Mathura , Vrindavun , Barsaana , Nandgaaon and Goverdhan area. It is equally popular in rest of the Brij that comprises of Hathras , Aligarh , Agra , Faizabad and Bharatpur. I also found it popular in varanasi and Allahabad .

You find people crowding these shops during morning hours . They are there at evening time . During daytime also , you find these shops doing brisk business selling Hot Milk , Lassi , Jalebi and kachori (with a special Sabzi).

Sri Krishen Shukla , Our local  Guide brought us to this shop located inside a narrow lane in old Mathura city .

 My Facebook  friend Sri Anil Maheshwari writes ;

 We in the Western U.P. are more enamored with Vrindavan and Hardwar than Ayodhya in the eastern Uttar Pradesh. These days the surging crowd on weekends makes it difficult to visit the town. Moreover the menace of monkeys makes the pilgrimage unpleasant. But still the town and its numerous temples, in particular Bankey- Bihari ji in Vrindaban, Dwarka-Dheesh in Mathura and other places at Barsana, Nandgaon retain their charm and attract pilgrims. Santation is a problem. Kripalu ji Maharaj has recently added another charm to Vrindavan   by building  the   Prem Mandir. Sanitation problem has remained unresolved and it seems that no state government including the present government and the member of Lok Sabha Ms. Hema Malini have any political and social coupled with religious will to ameliorate this situation . The 84-Kos yatra, undertaken by pilgrims during winter months passes through the Meo Muslim villages. The beauty of the plural country is that Meos remain vegetarian during the yatra days. By the way the areas, connected with Krishan Lilas prefer vegetarian dishes. The plenty of milk and milk products make this place worth consuming Pedas or sweetened lassi."
Daal kachori ,Jalebi , Lassi and the SABZI from Oma Pahalwan's shop was really delicious. You feel like sleeping after a glass of Lassi .
I saw some Europeans also enjoying this breakfast in Mathura and Vrindavun.
