Claude Monet ( 1840-1926 ) was a key figure of the 19th century art movement that came to be known as Impressionism. He was born and brought in France but moved to England during Franco-Prussian War (1870-71) where he had close association with Camille Pisarro, Auguste Renoir and other figures central to Impressionism movement of Art .
