KASHMIR AND A LOVE SONG OF KABIR

SRINAGAR , SILENCE AND SNOW

LOVE SONGS OF KABIR.
APART FROM EXPOUNDING THE NIRGUNA PHILOSOPHY , KABIR ALSO WROTE ON THE UNIVERSAL SUBJECT KNOWN AS LOVE . NOT IN THE STRICT NARROW SENSE OF THE WORD . BUT YES SONGS THAT SPEAK OF SEPARATION AND SUFFERING . SONGS ON PARTING . LOVE ;A WORD THAT TOUCHES ONE AND ALL.  HOW COULD KABIR REMAIN UNTOUCHED ?I HAVE TRANSLATED A LOVE POEM OF KABIR .

Ankhiyan To Chhayee Padee, Panth Nihaar NihaaR
Jeehadiyaan Chhaala Padaa, Naam Pukaar Pukaar
Biraha Kamandal kurr Liye, Bairagi Do Nain
Mange Daras Madhukari, Chhake Rahey Din Rain
Sub Rang Tanti Rabaab Tan, Birha Bajaeve Nit
Aur Naa Koyee Sun Sakey, Kyaa Sain Ke Chit
( kABIR )

Translation
Love ! Dark spots have now surfaced in my eyes ,
How long more I need to wait for thee in this path?
Parched goes my tongue naming thee alone every moment.
This begging Bowl is now full with pangs of our parting,
My eyes find nothing but empty space all over,
Just One visit Love !
Just One visit to clear this day and night wait,
To me the worldly colours convey pain alone ,
This body now a Rabaab ( Musical Instrument )
Just whimpers the song of separation.
Love if you do not pay attention,
Who else shall listen to this painful cry.

One poet who totally grasped the essence of kabir's philosophy was Abdul Hayee sahir Ludhianavi. Many songs of Sahir depict influence of Kabir. Infact sahir could recite Gurbaani extempore. The song " Laaga Chunri Mein Daaag " is based on Kabir's love song" Chunri Mein Parigayo Daag Piya "

Mal Mal Dhoye Daag Na Chhute
Gyan Ka Sabun Laye Piyaa
Kahat Kabir Daag Tab Chhute
Jab Sahib Apnaaye Liyaa

KABIR ON PATIENCE

Srinagar December 2010.
Who says the spring is not close by ? Just arriving to Enter kashmir ! Why be impatient ? Why not allow nature to do its Job? Wait! wait! O Impatient ! So says kabir .

Dheere Dheere Re Manaa, Dheere Sub Kutchch Hoye
Maali Seenche So Gharaa, Ritu Aaye Phal Hoye
( Kabir )

O Impatient ! Nature operates at its own pace . slowly and slowly,
The ignorant Gardener pours Bucket loads of water ,
Yet the tree bears fruit only in its season.

KABIR ON BEGGING

 Photograph  Autar Mota  Feb 2011

 KABIR ON BEGGING
Sharm Aati Hai Ki Iss Shehar Mein Hum Hain Ki Jahaan
Naa Mile Bheekh To Laakhon Kaa Guzaara Hi Naa Ho.
----------Zindagi Yeh To Nahin Tujh Ko Sanvaara Hi Naa Ho.
( Urdu  Poet Jaan Nissar Akhtar  on Begging In Mumbai )
Begging kills the initiative . It closes the external world of hope and Flight. Who is not pained to see men , women , Children , young and old begging to the point of Nuisance ? Inspite of his compassion and humane philosophical beliefs , Kabir was totally against begging . He felt it brings shame. According to him, men should strive to earn honest livelihood wherever they are instead of resorting to the disgraceful act of begging..

Maangan Maran Samaan hai – Mat koyee Maange Bheekh
Maangan Se marnaa Bhalaa Yeh Satguru ki Seekh.
( Kabir )

Begging is nothing but Death. Lord ! Never put anyone on this path.
“:Better die than beg ”, So says the master to his disciples .

A VIEW OF NEHRU PARK SRINAGAR AFTER THE SNOW FALL

Nehru Park Srinagar , Kashmir. After the snow fall Dec 2010

Shall the Spring ever visit this area ??
SURE! SURE ! It shall .

One season has to go to make way for other to enter. That is the the settled cycle of nature.
Looking at the Photograph i am reminded of kabir

Taruvar Paat se Yuun Kahey Suno Paat Ek Baat
Yaa Ghar Yaa hi Reet Hai Ek Aavat Ek Jaat.
( Kabir )
The tree said to the falling leaf " Listen the story in nutshell,
The Tradition of this world shall continue .
So one has to leave to make way for the other to enter. "

SUN , SNOW AND ZABARWAN FOOTHILLS OF KASHMIR

SUN , SNOW AND ZABARWAN FOOTHILLS OF KASHMIR.
Dec2010.

To this photo i add a master piece of Kabir . Again a mystical poem with my attempt to put it in simple English :-

Sadho Ye Murdon Ka Gaaon
Peer Mare, Paigambar Mari Hain, Mari Hain Zinda Jogi
Raja Mari Hain, Parjaa Mari Hain, Mari Hain Vaid Aur Rogi
Chanda Mari Hain, Suraj Mari Hain,Mari Hain Dharni Akaasa
Chaudan Bhuvan Ke Chaudhry Mari Hain, In Hun Ki Kaa Aasa
Nauhun Mari Hain, Duss Hun Mari Hain, Mari Hain Sahaj Athaasi
Teiteis Koti Devata Mari Hain, Badi Kaal Ki Bazi
Naam Anam Anant Rehat Hai, Duja Tatva Na Hoi
Kahe Kabir Suno Bhai Sadho, Bhatak Maro Mat Koyee
( Kabir )

O Kabir ! Alas this world ,
Nothing but a place to settle death.
Death ! That carries the saint ,
Death that visits God’s messenger and
life radiating Yogis too .
The King and his subjects ,
The healer and the sick,
All embrace it.
The moon , The sun
The earth and the sky too get engulfed .
So do custodians of fourteen worlds ,
Surrender to it.
Then how can any one remain Not -visited ?
The Nine Die ,
So do the ten.
Behold the eighty eight fading away before its might .
Look ! Even the Thirty three crore enlightened beings ( Devtaas )
surrender to its supremacy ,
So Colossal is the sway of KALAA( Death ).
Yes that unnamed surely remains untouched .
And None except that endless remains the ultimate reality .
Says kabir “ O! Sadhu , Never lose thy track in this
Village to embrace DEATH ”

AND TRUTH CERTAINLY CAN NOT BE PUT ACROSS!

After the snow fall at Zeethyaar srinagar kashmir Dec 2010.

I shall add a Mystic Poem of Kabir (to this photograph ) which has been translated to simple English by me

Jo Disse So Hai Nahee, Hai So Kaha Na Jayee
Bin Dekhe Parteet Na Aave, Kahe Na Koyee Patiyana
Samajh Hoye To Rabbee Cheenho, Acharaj Hoye Ayaana
Koyee Dhyaave Nirakaar Ko, Koyee Dhyave Aakaara
Ja Bidhi In Dono Te Nyaara, Jane Jaananhaara
Woh Raag To Likhia Na Jayee, Maatra Lakhe Na Kaana
Kahat Kabir So Padhe Na Parlay, Surrat Nirrat Jin Jaana
( Kabir )

What is apparent is never the truth
And Truth ! Certainly can never be put across.
But then none believes unless he sees it
And none understands it unless words convey it.
The wise use knowledge to reach it ,
To the ignorant it is just a Marvel,
Some venerate it as Formless
Some revere it in various forms .
The real knower knows that he is
Beyond both .
Like the Musical Raaga ,
That can not be put across in written Notes.
Kabir says just be aware of this reality
And that alone shall drive out the Delusion

HOSH HOSH - BACHO BACHO SNOW IS ABOUT TO SLIP DOWN.

HOSH HOSH- Bacho Bacho .
Snow is about to slip down . save yourself
Photo  Dec.2010.

AFTER SNOW FALL IN SRINAGAR KASHMIR

I am revisiting Kabir these days.Another Nirguna Bhajan of this saint attempted by me in simple English.

Deh Dhare Ka Dhand Hai, Sab Kahoo Ko Hoye
Gyaani Bhugte Gyaan Se, Moorakh Bhugte Roye
Kabira Mein To Tab Daroon, Jo Mohi Ko Hoye
Meech Budhapaa Aapdaa, Sab Kahoo Ko Hoye
Bandhaa Kyon Kar-ni Kare, Kyon Kar ke Pachhitaaye
Boye Paid Babool Kaa, Aam Kahaan Se Khaaye.
( Kabir )

Who Can Escape the Ultimate Truth of Existence?
O Yes ! The learned deal it with their Knowledge
while the ignorant may cry and lament .
O Kabir! Why fear and be afraid ,
For this does not confront thee alone.
The torment of Death and Old age
Is for all over here.
O Ignorant! These are thy deeds only ,
And having performed why you regret now.
Having sown a Babool ,
How you expect to relish the Mango fruit .

THE SWAN ( FREE SPIRIT ) SHALL FLY AWAY ALONE ONE DAY

KASHMIR WINTER DECEMBER 2010

I am personally touched by some Kabir Bhajans . One of the Bhajans sung by late Kumar Gandharva is my all time favourite . I have also attempted to translate this Bhajan to simple english

Udd Jayegaa Hans Akela,
Jug Darshan Ka Melaa
Jaise Paat Gire Taruvar Se,
Milnaa Bahut Duhelaa
Naa Jane Kidhar Giregaa,
Lageya Pawan Ka Relaa
Jub Howe Umar Puri,
Jab Chhute Gaa Hukum Huzuri
Jam Ke Dhoot Bade Mazboot,
Jam Se Pada Jhamelaa
Das Kabir Har Ke Gun Gaawe
Wah Har Ko Paran Paawe
Guru Ki Karni Guru Jayegaa,
Chele Ki Karni Chelaa
( Kabir )

Away shall fly this swan ( Free spirit) ,
Leaving this worldly Fair .
Difficult to meet it again O ignorant !
Like the leaf that falls from the tree,
in the wind storm.....
Once the time limit is complete,
Or the cycle of command and servitude
is complete ,
The entanglement with YAMA is bound to take place ignorant!
Learn None could escape his robust messengers ,
O Kabir Praise thy Lord and be at his feet ,
The Master ( Guru ) shall meet his fate according to his deeds ,
So shall the follower leave this worldly fair.

DR M D TASEER AND KASHMIR CONNECTION

DR M D TASEER AND KASHMIR

Last year when I went to S P college Srinagar , I spent some time in the lobby outside Principal’s room to study the faces and details in Photographs Hung on the Walls. These faces included some eminent personalities like M U Moore ( 1905-1908), I K Sharga ( 1909-1921 ), Lawrence Macdermot ( 1921-1931 ), R L Kanjilal (1931 )Moulvi Mohd Ibrahim ( 1931-1939),A K Kichloo ( 1931-1941 )Dr M D Taseer ( 1941-1942 ), S D Malhotra (1942-1944 ), B K Madan (1944-1946), Prof G A Ashai ( 1947-1948 ),Prof S L Raina ( 1947 and again 1957to 1958 ), and Prof J L Koul ( 1952-1957 ).These men of repute and Character acted as Principals of the college at one time or the other . One name that sounds strange is Dr M D Taseer Principal (1941-1942 ). Yes father of Salman Taseer( born at Shimla ) the recently Assassinated Governor of Punjab province of Pakistan . A strong Kashmir connection.

Muhammad Din Taseer ( 1902-1950 ) later known as DR. M D Taseer was born at Ajnala in Amritsar district . He earned his Ph.D at Cambridge University. Dr Taseer was the first Indian to get his Ph.D. in English Literature from Cambridge University and his thesis was a critical and analytical study of five hundred years of English literature.
He was initially associated with Islamia College, Lahore.
He also served as principal of a collge at Amritsar.

Dr. Taseer had built a house in Srinagar where the marriage function of Poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz with Alys was solemnized in presence of sheikh Mohd Abdullah .. He loved to spend summers and Autumn in srinagar and During winters , he would move to his own house in Lahore.

It is pertimnent to mention that Dr.Taseer was a close friend of BPL Bedi ( Popularly known as Baba Bedi and father of Actor kabir Bedi ) with whom he co- authored the famous “ NAYA KASHMIR MANIFESTO ’’ for National Conference Party headed by Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah .Though Dr M D Taseer did not publish any Book , he was a well known poet and recited his poems in poetic gatherings. I quote lines from one of his poems :
"Mujhe Talaash Rahi Hai
Nahin Talaash Nahin ,
Talaash Main to Talab
Justajoo Sii Hotee Hai ,
Dubii Dubii Hii Sahee
Aarzoo Sii Hotee Hai ,
Na Aarzoo Na Talab Hai
Na Justajoo Na Talaash ,

Muqaam? Marhallaa? Jo Kuchh Bhi Naam Hai Uskaa
Jahaan Khayal Kay Paiker Banaa-e Jaatey Hain
Nigha-e Gosh Ko Naghmay Dikhaaye Jatae Hain"

He wrote many Books and articles on Poetry ,Art and literature His book’ Iqbal, the universal poet “ was well received by critics and readers .Dr. Taseer was also associated with the Progressive writers movement of the subcontinent .As per Dr Riaz Qadeer

“Taseer was an instable reader with a broad perspective. He would at once grasp the crux of a matter and then put it in proper sequence. He was endowed with an analytic mind, synthetic comprehension and clear vision over a vast field of arts and literature in its historical and evolutionary context. His method of treatment of his subject was scientific. He took up the literary eras of England in an ordinary way, one by one, studied their trends and then proceeded to discern the attitude of the West as reflected towards the East like a true scholar of literature and philosophy.”

But Hope still remains my steadfast companion though
My eyes rain Blood in this suffering ,
Look ! I have even created illumination in water to welcome thee.

ARTIST CHARLES BARTLETT AND HIS PAINTING "MOTHER AND CHILD IN KASHMIR."

" MOTHER AND CHILD " A PAINTING BY Charles Bartlett ARTIST who travelled to kashmir in 1913 as a part of his 18 months world trip.oil on canvas painting of a mother and child with lotus plants and flowers blooming behind, Dal Lake and its surrounding mountains rising in the background. The mother and child subject was a compelling and deeply personal theme which he painted throughout his career, in numerous forms and in virtually every culture he encountered. To this wonderful painting i add

“Maa keh Ek Kahaani -------------”

“Betaa samajh Liyaa kyaa tuune
Mujh Ko Apni Naani ”

“ Kehatee thee Mujh Se Yeh Cheitee
Tuu Meri Naani Ki Beti
Keh Maa Keh Letee Hi Letee
Raja Thaa Ya Raani
Maa keh Ek kahaani ”

FOUR VIEWS OF HARI PARBAT FORT SRINAGAR

Emperor Akbar provided funds for construction of boundary wall around  Hari Parbat or Kohe Maraan hill ( started in 1590 AD )to settle people  . The  New city inside the Fortification was named  as NAGAR Nagor . The fort was built  by Afghan Governor Atta Mohd Khan ( 1808-1810 )  under the reign of Shuja Shah Durrani. The outer boundary wall to the Hill had entry gates like Kaathi Darwaaza , Baachi Darwaaza  and Sangeen Darwaaza . Sangeen DARWAZA faces the temple of Sharika  Devi on Hari Parbat while the Kathi Darwaaza faces the Chhati Padshahi Gurdwara .  Baachhi Darwaaza was totally dilapidated and hence a new entrance has been erected  . This new Baachi Darwaaza   faces the shrine of Maqdoom sahib.

I Have Uploaded three  inside views of Hari Parbat Fort ( March 2011 ). Sitting on the outer wall of the fort and viewing the city below  My mind suddenly recalled Naadim sahib’ lines

Teilli Auss Maachh Modhur Guftaar
Kaashir Zevih Aus soan Anhaar
Az Assi Nazran Dholah Chhe Dhyaar
Baayis Boay Na Yaaruss Yaar
Reshi Kathhi Kuss Kari Katih Yaqraar
Kashir Zeivee Yeli Kor Inqaar

Baar Khodaaya Paap Nivaar
( Dina Nath Naadim )

Those were the days when our communication was Honey sweet,
Our language expressed our dreams and Aspirations .
Now money has put its haze in our vision,
Brothers don’t care for each other nor do friends,
Who shall understand the words of our Reshis ,
When we disown our own  mother Tongue ?
O God ! Unburden us for these sins

A VIEW NEAR HOTEL WOODSTOCK PAHALGHAAM KASHMIR
 MARCH 2011

Tu mujhay itnay pyaar say mat dekh,
Teri palkon kee naram saayaye main
Dhoop bhi chandni si lagti hai
Aur mujhay kitni door jaanaa hai
Rait hai garm,Paon kay chhaalay
Yoon dehktay hain,jaisay angaaray
Pyaar ki yeh nazar rahay na rahay
Kaun dasht-e-wafa main jalta hai
Tere dil ko khabar rahay na rahay
Tu mujhay itnay pyaar say mat daikh..............
-------------------------------------
( ALI SARDAR JAFRI )

Don't look at me so lovingly.
In the gentle shadows of your eye lashes
the sunlight turns into moonlight.
I've yet to go far off,
the sand beneath my feet is hot,
and the boils on my feet
feel like red hot coal.
Whether love lingers or not,
who wants to get burned
in the desert of faithfulness?
Whether you remember me or not,
Don't look at me so lovingly.

POEMS OF SUBHASH KAK

Yeh Chidiyaa Ghonslaa Banaa Rahi hai ,
Iss Paid par,
Kaise Bataayein ,
Ki Yeh Paid Katney Wala hai

( Lines from Poetry Book “EKTAAL ” by Subash Kak )

Hamaare Bhaav pattey hain,
Praffulit Ho jaatein hain kabhi ,
Sikkuddate aur Murjhaate kabhi ,
Chinar Ke laal Patton Ki tarah,
Dharti par Gir kar Sameitey Jaate ,
Sulgaakar Unn Ke Aangaaron se
Garmi Milatee hai .
( Lines from a poem in Mitti Kaa Anuraag a Poetry book by Subhash kak  )
Our feelings are like leaves ,
Sometimes over sprouting ,
Sometimes shrinking and dying down
And Getting collected
Like the Red chinar leaves ,
Once they fall to ground ,
people burn these to charcoal
to enjoy warmth .

Subhash Kak (Born March 26, 1947 in Srinagar, Kashmir) is an Indian American computer scientist, most notable for his publications on history, the philosophy of science, ancient astronomy and the history of mathematics. He did his BE from REC Srinagar and Ph.D. from The Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi in 1970. In 1979 joined Louisiana State University and since 2007 he is head of the Computer Science Department at Oklahoma State University. In computer science he has published material related to cryptography and quantum information. His work on RIGVEDA has been widely appreciated . According to Him

“There are limits to the intelligence that machines can have and these machines cannot equal biological intelligence. Machines fall short on two counts as compared to brains. Firstly, unlike brains, machines do not self-organize in a recursive manner. Secondly, machines are based on classical logic, whereas Nature's intelligence may depend on quantum mechanics.[Further], if machines with consciousness are created, they would be living machines, that is, variations on life forms as we know them. Second, the material world is not causally closed, and consciousness influences its evolution. Matter and minds complement each other “

Apart from being an Authority on computer science , Subhash kak remains a Poet at heart deeply rooted to his native kashmir. Thanx to subhash kak for sending his two poetry books to me via email.

A POEM OF PERCY BROWN ON GULMARG

A poem on Gulmarg by  Percy Brown from her Book CHENAR LEAVES

POEMS OF KASHMIR

(MEMORIES OF GULMARG )

O! for the wind in the pine-wood trees

0! for the flowery, scented breeze
In far Gulmarg! in far Gulmarg!

0! for the wealth of flowers so blue
O! for the sound of the ring-dove's coo,

O! for that earth's soft covered breast
The turf my love's footsteps have pressed,

And all the thousand scents which rise
To subtly haunt our memories,

Scents which spring from the very grass

As o'er its velvet growth we pass
In far Gulmarg ! in far Gulmarg !

0! for the babbling brook's clear flow
Dancing from Killan's heights below,

0! for the cold and gleaming snow
Which Apharwat doth proudly show,

And lights and shades which joyous play
On her grey-green slopes all through the day.

WHEN MARSHAL BULGANIN AND NIKITA KRUSCHEV ENJOYED KASHMIRI HOSPITALITY

(Poet Dina Nath Naadim with Kruschev , marshal Bulganin and other Artists )

( Bakshi Ghulam  Mohd sharing Food with the Kruschev  While Marshal Bulganin Looks on)

( At Srinagar AIR Port  Russsian leaders being Received by Bakshi Ghulam Mohd. )

( Russian leaders with Dr karan Singh  and Bakshi Ghulam Mohd. )

( Russian leaders in New Delhi with Pandit jawahar lal Nehru )

In the first week of November 1955, Top Russian Leaders were in Kashmir.  They were official visitors and  were treated   with unprecedented Hospitality . The delegation was jointly  headed by Nikolai Alexandrovich Bulganin  and . Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev . Nikolai Alexandrovich Bulganin was Minister of Defence of the then USSR (1953-1955 ) and later premier of the soviet union(1955-1958 ). Bulganin Beard is named after him. Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev became Premier of Soviet union ( 1958-1964 ). They were also joined by a battery of officials from the then USSR , Representatives of RIA NOVOSTI( Information and news agency of Russia )  with  Photographer ANATOLIY GARANIN  .The delegation also included  Dzhabar Rasulov, Zukhra Rakhimbabayeva and Sharaf Rashidov, representatives of Uzbekistan and Taajikistan. At a Luncheon  ceremony attended by Dr Karan singh Governor (  The then  sadar   e Riyasat )of the State )  and Bakshi Ghulam Mohd  Chief Minister (The then Prime Minister of the state )  Marshal Bulganin said :-

“  Your state is situated close to the Central Asian Republics of the Soviet Union-Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.  This is why we accepted with gratitude the invitation from your Chief of State, the esteemed Yuvaraj Karan Singh, to spend some time in Kashmir. We have enjoyed visiting your state because it is the birthplace of your Prime Minister, Mr. Nehru, of whom we think very highly.
Here live the Kashmir, Dogra and Ladakh nationalities, as well as Hindus, Moslems, Sikhs and representatives of other nationalities and religions. ...
All this indicates that the peoples of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, who are of various nationalities and religious beliefs, live harmoniously and want to work productively for the good of their native state-the Republic of India .  Friendly cooperation among peoples is very familiar and understandable to us. Our country is a multinational country. Representatives of many religious beliefs live in the Soviet Union. But this does not create any misunderstandings among us; Soviet people live and work as a single, harmonious family. ”( Thunderous  applause form the gathering  )
Elders tell me that wherever the Russians went they simply kept sayinG
("kak vas za-voot")   -   What is your name?
("och-en pree-yat-na")   -   Pleased to meet you..
("da-svee-da-nee-ye")   -   Good-bye.
 ("spa-see-ba")   -   Thank-You.
 ("pa-zhal-sta")   -   Please You're Welcome
I was told by an elderly leader from our state that Marshal Bulganin in Particular was highly impressed with scenic beauty  of Kashmir . He was heard often exclaiming :
“Kra-si-va-ya “ – Beautiful!
The Russians were  entertained to lavish  Lunches and dinners . They enjoyed the WAZWAAN. Bakshi Sahib exchanged food from his Plate with  Kruschev  and Buganin. Naadim sahib’s Opera Bombur Taa Yemberzal ( Bumble Bee and the Narcissus flower  )  was Performed on 05th Nov 1955   in Nedou’s Hotel  By a galaxy of kashmiri Artists and singers  led by late Mohan lal Aima  .  MARSHAL Bulganin was reportedly seen foot tapping when the artists sang the song Bombro Bombro. Aima sahib had innovated the CHAKRI tune  with a  faster tempo  for this song.
Dr karn singh , Naadim sahib , Bakshi Sahib shared the front row with the Russian Dignitaries  who had been invited to  enjoy this Opera  that showcased Kashmir’s rich musical Heritage . ANATOLIY GARANIN  the Photographer from RIA NOVOSTI kept clicking . . The dignitaries Hugged Naadim Sahib  for creating  this impressive and musical composition. They shook hands with every artist and expressed a desire to be photographed  with the Performers who were many well known names from the field of Music and Performing Art in Kashmir.
Bomburuss Yemberzal Beyee Samkhaavon ,

O Delicate Narcissus! uptil now , You
Have endured lot of pain and suffering .
We shall make Narcissus meet her love ,
They shall fulfill their desires  .
This Satanic Hurricane visiting our Garden at the moment ,
Shall depart shortly and die down in some open field .
O Bumble Bee (Bhanwara ) !  Bumble Bee ! O Dusky  Bumble Bee  !
Why do thee lament so much  ?.

( So sang Maswal ( Iris ) Gule Laala ( Tulip ) and many other flowers in  Dina nath Naadim's  Opera Bombur Te Yemberzal  depicting romance of Bumble Bee and Narcissus flower )
(My sincere Thanx to Bakshi sahib's family and Ria Novosti for above Photographs )
