I had previously also uploaded a photograph of lidder  stream showing what we call  “Baachhi ”in kashmiri. Those who are familiar with the rural scenario of Kashmir valley  know what Baachhi means. Branches and leaves are cut from trees  (generally willow) and this entire stuff is stored on tree tops . This is a winter feed for sheep and goat. During winter season , bundles are brought down and placed before the cattle who devour the cold and generally wet leaves leaving the dry branches untouched . These branches are then burnt  as fuel in the kitchen or used in Kangri for fighting the winter . This charcoal so obtained (for use in kangri ) is known as “Baachhi Naar” .
